About the presentation: What is the ‘Iron Dog’ race? Have you ever wondered how athletes prepare for the world’s toughest, longest, snow machine race? Join Mike Vasser, Executive Director of Iron Dog for a discussion on all things Iron Dog.
About Mike: An Alaska resident since 1999, Mike Vasser has competed in the Iron Dog race, the Jackson Hole Hill Climb, Arctic Man, and countless vintage and ice races. He’s been racing and building sleds his entire life. Outside of his work with Iron Dog, he is the owner of 907ice LLC., an ice and water vending business. Vasser brings nearly 40 years of operational and financial expertise, marketing and event sponsorship and planning, as well as a passion for building partnerships.
Cost to attend: This event is free for the community to attend. Donations are greatly appreciated. If you would like to contribute to the Mat-Su Trails and Parks Foundation, the organization will accept both electronic and cash donations at each speaker event. Donations are tax-deductible.

What is the winter speaker series? The Mat-Su Trails and Parks Foundation & Revel are hosting monthly educational lectures/presentations November 2024 through April 2025. Each month features a different topic with the goal of connecting locals to different recreation opportunities and stories from our area.
