About Us

Kierre Childers has been calling Alaska home since 2015. She started in Willow, Alaska, volunteering on a trail crew at Nancy Lake State Recreation Area. She’s guided around the entire state, but loves calling the Palmer area home. Her passion for learning, the outdoors, and bringing people together is rooted in Revel operations.

Kierre is a certified Wilderness First Responder and a former EMT.

Susan Beeman grew up commercial salmon fishing every summer and playing outdoors. Her family spent two winters in a log cabin in the Alaska Range along the Iditarod Trail in the 1970s. After earning an MFA in creative writing, she worked as a freelance writer and was the editor of Alaska magazine for many years. Susan loves to hike, backpack, and mountain bike and is excited to share her knowledge with others.

Susan is a certified Wilderness First Responder.

Emily moved to Alaska from Arkansas in 2020 after meeting her husband. She studied Tourism Management at Colorado State University, receiving a Master’s degree in 2021. She loves the outdoor world and showing it to others. Her favorite pastimes include hiking, camping, fishing, backpacking, and snowshoeing. Emily is excited to use her passion for people and the outdoors to show off the beautiful creation that is Alaska.

Emily has a Wilderness First Aid certification.

Ute Riesenkönig Olsson received a Master of Forestry from Duke University and a Master of Science in Ecological Studies from Colorado State University. She taught natural history to all ages at the Eagle River Nature Center for two decades before her retirement. Ute has a special interest in ethnobotany -- how humans have traditionally used plants in Alaska.

Ute is trained in First Aid and CPR.

Ryan has spent nearly 13 years exploring Alaska, making it his home in 2021. Growing up in Ely, MN, and the Boundary Waters, he developed his love for the outdoors early, guiding canoe trips for five summers. With a background in philosophy and philanthropy, Ryan brings a global perspective from travels to 29 countries across Africa, Europe, and South America. He’s passionate about sharing Alaska’s wild beauty and adventuring with others.

Ryan is a certified Wilderness First Responder.

Kate is a seasoned adventure tour guide with 15 years of experience leading expeditions in Alaska and internationally. Deeply committed to community wellness, she has helped launch numerous local initiatives to get people active and outdoors. An avid endurance athlete and climber, Kate spends her personal time running long-distance races, snowboarding, hiking, and tackling technical rock and ice climbs. Her main passion in life is to take photographs of people outside their element, enjoying their lives to the fullest. 

Kate is a certified Wilderness First Responder.

Christie's 11-year guiding career has taken her all across the country and she is thrilled to have landed permanently in Alaska.  During the summers she primarily guides multi-day wilderness excursions in Alaska's incredible national parks & wildlife refuges.  During the winter months you can find her ski-instructing or fat-biking.  Her favorite part of guiding is connecting to the beautiful landscape while disconnecting from screens & stress.

Christie is a certified Wilderness First Responder.

Tre-c has been exploring Alaska for almost two decades. After years of full time guiding throughout the world, she decided to settle down in Anchorage, which she calls home with her husband, toddler, and two sled dogs. Tre-c especially loves winter in Alaska and she is the founder of a 350 mile sled dog race near Willow Alaska.

Tre-c is a certified Wilderness First Responder.

For nearly 40 years, Susan has dedicated herself to a career in education. As an Alaskan for the past 34 years, she is deeply inspired by the wild beauty of the Last Frontier. When she isn't working, you'll find her fully embracing her love for the great outdoors and exploring the spectacular wilderness she calls home.
