Top 10 things to do in Palmer, Alaska (summer)
Looking for things to do in Palmer, Alaska? From seeing glaciers, to hiking, to live music - Palmer is a hub of summer activities. Here’s some of our favorite attractions.
Lazy Mountain - Winter Hiking
Lazy Mountain is a beautiful, but challenging winter climb for hikers. Climb 1,700’ for a rewarding and scenic view of the Palmer area and surrounding mountains or head for a summit attempt (about 3,000’) if you’re feeling more ambitious. While not a busy winter trail there is usually enough traffic to maintain a snow-packed trail from trailhead to summit. Ice cleats are recommended.
