Community Hike: 50ish and older

Registration required. There is no cost to join us, but we do ask you sign up so we don’t leave any stragglers behind at the trailhead!

When: Thursday, August 17

Where: We’ll be meeting at 203 Kombucha and heading to the Rail Trail from there.

What to expect: We will plan to hike 3-5 miles over flat to rolling terrain. This will be an out and back hike.

Can I bring my pup? No. For this particular event we ask folks to leave pups behind. Thanks for understanding!

Cost: This is a free community event. Donations are appreciated. If you like these events and want to support them, consider making a donation to our Community Adventure Fund. This fund helps are ability to offer scholarships for our paid programs.

Parking fees: Please note attendees are responsible for covering their own parking fees.

A couple other notes: If you need help finding the trailhead or want to contact Revel prior to the event, please contact Kierre at 907-903-1664. Please note, cell service from the trailhead and parking area is limited.

What to bring: Bring warm layers, rain gear, water and snacks as desired.

About Community Hikes for our 50ish and older crew: Explore a local trail/area in the company of ‘seasoned’ hikers. We hike at a leisurely pace and chat along the way. These are social outings and opportunities to build community with local outdoor-lovers.

How you can support us: Revel is committed to offering Community Hikes, Ladies Night Out(doors), Hike and Learn events and other community engagement activities for locals in our community. You help can support these programs through the following ways:

  • Help spread the word about us. Have friends or family visiting? Know someone who could benefit from attending a community event?

  • Collaborate with us. If you’re a local business owner, teacher or have creative ideas on how you can help support these community-focused activities, reach out.

  • Contribute to our Community Adventure Fund. This allows us to provide scholarships to locals attending paid community programming. Contributions also help cover the cost of a paying staff to guide our free community activities.
