Registration required. There is no cost to join us, but we do ask you sign up so we don’t leave any stragglers behind at the trailhead!
When: Tuesday, November 21, 1pm-3pm
Where: We’ll meet at the Scout Ridge Trailhead in Wasilla and plan to walk about 1.5 hours.
About the hike and what to expect: We will hike/walk for about 1.5 hours along the loop trail. The total elevation gain is no more than 200 feet with a nice view overlooking the Palmer Hay Flats.
Can I bring my pup? No. For this particular event we ask folks to leave pups behind. Thanks for understanding!
Cost: This is a donation-based/pay what you can community event.
What to bring: Bring warm layers, winter gear (if necessary-hats, mittens, scarves), rain gear (if necessary), ice cleats (if needed), a headlamp, water and snacks as desired. We have lots of extra gear if you need to borrow anything.
A note on flexibility: The nature of adventuring outside requires some flexibility. We do our best to follow the itinerary as outlined, but trail conditions, wildlife, etc. can all impact our plans. Please know if we need to shift plans your guide will communicate with you in a timely manner. Safety is our priority and we use our best judgment when making trip adjustments.
Weather: We rarely cancel due to inclement weather. Please bring gear to adventure in the elements.
