Where: We’ll meet at the Crevasse-Moraine trailhead pavilion off of N Loma Prieta Dr., Palmer, AK 99645
What to expect: We’ll be walking/hiking for about 2 hours.
Event description: Many of our native plants are edible, and some have been used traditionally for medicine. Learn to identify them and how to tell them apart from plants that are not safe. Take a walk in the woods with naturalist emerita, Ute Olsson, for an introduction into what we can harvest. This event is free for the community; however we kindly suggest guests consider making a donation to the naturalist presenter if financially able. Suggested donation: $20.

About Ute: Ute Riesenkönig Olsson received a Master of Forestry from Duke University and a Master of Science in Ecological Studies from Colorado State University. She taught natural history to all ages at the Eagle River Nature Center for two decades before her retirement.
