When: Sunday, June 29
Please arrive at Matanuska River Park, Pavilion B between 12:45PM and 1PM. We will begin our class promptly at 1PM.
About the Class: Capture Alaska's growing season on a silk scarf! Choose a plain or naturally-dyed background color, then arrange fresh leaves over silk to create a one-of-a-kind silk scarf. While our silk bundles are being heat-processed, learn more about natural dyeing techniques.
Total workshop time is approximately 2 hours. This course is best suited for adult learners and teenagers.
What we will make: Participants will make one 8"x54" scarf. Option to make a second scarf while at the course (please bring cash if you would like to purchase a second scarf; there will be a variety of sizes and styles available).
Group Size: Maximum 8 learners total
Optional add-on, Plant Identification Walk before the Scarf Printing Course
Prior to our silk scarf class, we will be doing a plant identification walk around the Matanuska River Park trails. Book both the walk and scarf making when checking out for savings.

Is registration required? Yes. In order to maintain our small group size (max 8 participants) we ask that you register in advance.
A note on flexibility: The nature of adventuring outside requires some flexibility. We do our best to follow the itinerary as outlined, but we may need to shift plans for a variety of reasons. Safety is our priority, and we use our best judgment when making trip adjustments.
Course minimums: We require a minimum of 4 registered participants to run this course. If a scheduled event is canceled due to low sign-ups, participants will receive a full refund or credit toward a future event. Adventure Club members can receive a credit towards future Revel events.
Weather: We rarely cancel due to inclement weather. Please bring gear to adventure in the elements. If you need to borrow something, let us know! We have lots of extra supplies and are happy to loan items out.
