  • Mat-Su Ski Club - cross-country skiing club based at Government Peak Recreation Area

  • Hatcher Pass Avalanche Center - nonprofit organization providing avalanche information and advisories to assist and educate the general public in avoiding avalanches. HPAC provides avalanche information and advisories for the Hatcher Pass area in the Talkeetna Mountains of Alaska.

  • Alaska Safe Riders - nonprofit organization that promotes the safe riding of Snowmachines, All Terrain Vehicles (ATV), and Recreational Off Road Vehicles (ROV) through educational programs.   Our Non-Profit Organization is dedicated to working together with communities to reduce deaths and injuries from unintentional injury and death related to the operation of all-purpose vehicles.  

  • Adventures by True North AK - Palmer-based guiding company providing demonstrations on ice fishing.a

  • Palmer Curling Club - PCC, a non-profit organization, was founded in 2019 and consists of about 22 teams playing on two sheets at the MTA Center in Palmer.

  • Valley Mountain Bikers and Hikers - a recreational trail advocacy group based in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley region of Alaska. We are dedicated to increasing the quality and quantity of sustainable trails for hikers and mountain bikers throughout the Valley.

  • Backcountry Bike and Ski - Palmer-based bike and ski shop.

  • Willow Trail Committee & Willow Dog Mushers Association - Willow-based trail groups. Learn about Willow’s different trail systems.

  • Frontier Safety and Supply- Safety and training center. Frontier offers over 15 CPR classes monthly at our Anchorage training center. Of course, we continue to offer trainings upon request at your location.   Training programs are available ranging from Babysitter Safety to EMT-1.

About the Mat-Su Trails and Parks Foundation (MSTPF): Since 2014, your local trails and parks resource -the MSTPF- has awarded over $2.3 million in grants to local organizations. These grants have facilitated trail-building, trails and parks maintenance and related infrastructure investments in the Mat-Su Borough. Both motorized and non-motorized trail users have benefitted from MSTPF investments.

Revel is a Palmer-based guiding company that emphasizes community, education, and connection to places for visitors and locals alike. We operate year-round trips for visitors and use tourism to create opportunities for locals to learn and connect with the outdoors. In 2023, they connected with over 400 locals through events and outside adventures.
