When & where: This is a 2-part clinic with session the following dates:

  • Friday, Feb. 7 from 6PM to 8PM at Backcountry Bike & Ski in downtown Palmer

    • A 2-hour session indoors. We will review gear and fat biking basics.

  • Saturday, Feb. 8 from 11AM to 1PM on a local Palmer area trail (TBD).

    • A 2-hour session on the trails. We will review different riding skills and techniques to help you feel more confident on the trail.

About the clinic and what to expect: In our Fat-Bike Clinic, we will begin with a meet-and-greet gear check the evening of Friday, Feb. 7. During this indoor session at Backcountry Bike and Ski we will go over what you need to get started. We will help you get your bike set up with accessories, talk about how to dress, and what to expect for the ride.

On Saturday, February 8 we will hit the trails to identify and practice skills to help you ride with confidence. We will apply the skills we learn as we ride some single-track trails. Location TBD and will be determined closer to our clinic date based on trail conditions.

A note on flexibility: The nature of adventuring outside requires some flexibility. We do our best to follow the itinerary as outlined, but we may need to shift plans for a variety of reasons. Safety is our priority and we use our best judgment when making trip adjustments.

Weather: We rarely cancel due to inclement weather. Please bring gear to adventure in the elements. If you need to borrow something, let us know! We have lots of extra supplies and are happy to loan items out.
